TutorMate is hot in Phoenix


Innovations’ TutorMate program is making the news in Phoenix.

Above is a news segment from Phoenix TV Channel 12, covering a visit by volunteer tutors from Wells Fargo bank to kids at the John R. Davis School in Phoenix’ Roosevelt Elementary School District.

All through the school year, tutors like these give a half-hour of their week to get on their phones and computers, connect with a public-school classrooms and work with children one-on-one to help them become better readers.

At the end of the year, each team of employees finally visits the children face-to-face — and it’s a great time for everyone.

TutorMate is greatly aided in Phoenix by the Valley of the Sun United Way.
