  Terri Bridgman, Educational Consultant  

Dr.Terrie Bridgman is an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and has taught at National Louis's laboratory school, Baker Demonstration School. While at National Louis, Dr. Bridgman also taught graduate courses in early childhood and reading. While on sabbatical from National Louis, Dr. Bridgman established an after school reading clinic for first grade students in Jackson Wyoming. She also served as a literacy consultant for Jackson’s elementary schools. With over 29 years of early elementary education experience and training, Dr. Bridgman brings expertise in the area of early literacy.
  Jackie Davis, Creative Director  

Jackie Davis joined the IFL team in 2008 as Creative Director. She is responsible for translating marketing objectives into creative strategies, designs, and plans. With over 15 years of marketing experience, Jackie brings skill, knowledge, and expertise in graphic design, website development, collateral development, advertising and promotions. Before joining Innovations for Learning, Jackie was Marketing Manager for Earobics, a division of Houghton Mifflin Learning Technology. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Florida.
  John Friedman, Director of Software Development  

John Friedman produced his first digital art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the late 1970’s and has been developing multimedia, entertainment, and educational software for publishers including SVE, Electronic Arts, Parker Brothers, and Acclaim Entertainment for over 20 years. Since coming to Innovations for Learning he has continued multimedia programming as well as developing and maintaining the IFL web applications and network infrastructure.
  Barbara Goodman, Co-Director, Online Tutoring  

Barbara Goodman received both a Bachelor of Arts degree in education and a Master of Library Science degree, with emphasis on materials and services for children and young adults, from the University of Michigan. Before attending graduate school, she worked as an editor for World Book Encyclopedia and at The Learning Exchange, a not-for-profit that paired teachers and learners. She has worked as a teacher at Cherry Preschool in Evanston, Illinois; a librarian in a suburban Chicago middle school; and a reference librarian at DePaul University in Chicago. In addition to serving as Co-Director of Online Tutoring, Barbara continues to work at the Wilmette Public Library, where she has been an adult services librarian for more than 20 years.
  Heather Morgenstern, National Coordinator, Online Tutoring  

Heather Morgenstern joined IFL in 2010 to lead the national expansion of the Online Tutoring program to cities outside the Chicago-land area. She is responsible for coordinating volunteers, teachers, and students both locally and nationally, in order to provide a meaningful educational experience for all parties. Before joining IFL, Heather worked for two years as a pre-school teacher at Total Child Center in Evanston, IL. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, with emphasis on early education.
  Michele Pulver, Director of Teacher Services  

Michele Pulver is responsible for instructional leadership, supporting students and teachers with literacy instruction and with the TeacherMate system. She brings a wealth of education, professional development and literacy experience. Prior to joining Innovations, Michele worked for 10 years in educational publishing, developing and delivering professional development workshops in literacy and technology around the country. Most recently, she served as Director of Professional Development for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Michele began her career in education providing speech and language therapy services to students with special needs in grades pre-K through age 21, working both in schools and in private practice. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and a Masters of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Syracuse University.
  Seth Weinberger, Executive Director  

Seth Weinberger is the founder of Innovations for Learning, and the developer of its first software programs. Seth is also a co-founder of the Cherry Preschool in Evanston, IL. Seth is Senior Counsel to the international law firm Mayer Brown, where he has been a member of its Global Information Technology practice for over 25 years.
  Caryn Weiner, Co-Director, Online Tutoring  

Caryn Weiner joined IFL to co-direct Innovations for Learning’s Online Tutoring Program, pairing early readers with adult volunteers who work together 30 minutes each week over the telephone and internet. Caryn has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University of Chicago. As a social worker, she worked with several youth-focused programs in the Chicago area, including Response Center and YWCA Early Childhood Center. For the last 14 years, Caryn worked to promote early literacy skills for children in daycare homes through Childcare Center of Evanston.
  Dan Weisberg, National Director, Corporate Alliances  

Dan Weisberg joined IFL in 2011 with the goal of expanding our online volunteer literacy tutoring initiative to a growing national community of civic minded corporations and their employees. Before IFL, Dan enjoyed a diverse and successful career in the for-profit sector, where he worked extensively in the information technology industry, most recently managing N. American corporate alliances and channel sales for Sybase, Inc., and for Panopticon Software. He also brings an accomplished systems development background to IFL, having operated his own IT consulting firm for many years. In that role, he designed and developed key operational and business intelligence systems for Blue Cross of Illinois, Northern Trust Bank, Searle Drugs, etc. Dan has volunteered for many years with the National Runaway Switchboard and before that, as a board member with Horizons Community Services (now the Center on Halsted). Dan holds an MBA with Distinction from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, as well as a BA in Computer Systems in Education, also from the U of M.
  Cary Zakon, Director of School Services  

Cary Zakon joined IFL in early 2002 assisting in the growth and management of schools, the tutoring process, and program development. Past work experiences as network administrator for a Sonoma, CA winery and program manager for the non profit Youth Technology Corps make him a happy fit for IFL. Cary's second outlet for change is as a board member of Next Generation, a Bay Area non profit that empowers young people to work for peace and the environment. He balances time in front of computers and kids with cooking, hiking, yoga, and the rejuvenating air of the Redwoods.
