Jacksonville’s new remote-tutoring partnership with Innovations for Learning is a highlight of the latest video report from the Duval County Public Schools.

A report on TutorMate appears at the 2:20 mark in the latest edition of “Good News in Schools.”  You can jump to it by clicking here.

The segment was taped at Windy Hill Elementary, one of seven schools taking part in the TutorMate program. First grade students are paired with volunteers from JP Morgan Chase, who confer with them for 30 minutes a week via telephone and computer to review reading skills and exercises.

A longer report is scheduled to air April 6 on Jacksonville Public Television, WJCT.
