Florida Times-Union notes TutorMate’s arrival in Duval County, Fla.

Duval County public schools are test-driving “remote tutoring,” a new strategy that matches local corporate volunteers with some of the district’s youngest learners struggling with reading.

But no one goes anywhere. It’s all done online.

So starts a terrific story in today’s Florida Times-Union about the introduction of Innovations for Learning’s TutorMate program in seven Jacksonville elementary schools.
