The mission of Innovations for Learning is to create innovative ways to more effectively educate students. Many of our innovations focus on creating better tools for teachers, parents, tutors, and students. A number of these tools are computer-based, because computers are powerful tools for teaching and learning. But we do not limit our innovations to computers. Technologies of all kinds have been improving tools of all kinds for thousands of years before the computer was developed.
Nor do we limit our innovations to tools; we also explore innovative ways to provide our products and services to schools.

As a nonprofit agency, our innovations also focus on providing cost-effective solutions that are scalable to serve the millions in need. We seek to form partnerships with other nonprofit agencies and for-profit entities in a common quest to improve public education, and as part of the larger effort to bring families out of poverty.
We are not innovating for innovation's sake. We are innovating because the failure to innovate during the past generation has left millions of children and adults in this generation illiterate, and because the next generation should -- and can -- be better served.
